Linux on Sony Vaio C1X(D or S)
Ten years on I continue to use my tiny ultraportable. I have a PC Card WiFi interface, a Freecom DVD-R and an external WD ieee1349 250 GB hard drive. Old pages are here. 2007 update. I am going to upgrade shortly to a 4Gb internal IDE SSD drive and put files on a 8 Gb nano USB "key" mounted as /home.

Booting into Fedora Core 7, previous WiFi interface
Now running Fedora 12, faster than ever!
HTPC powered by mini-itx
I have done quite a bit of work on building Home Theatre PCs with VIA mini-itx motherboards. I will write some pages on this. Older pages describing a HTPC version of Fedora Core I worked on are available.

My own HTPC is a hush Mini-ITX with an Epia M10000 motherboard. It has a budget DVB-S card and runs Fedora 11, VDR and xine. It is hooked up to a Samsung FullHD LCD TV and pumps out SD DVB-S upscaled to 1920x1080 pixels. This page was edited on this system.
